Restaurant and typical products

"Fresh natural ingredients, cultivated on the family farm,
a cellar carved out of the rock beneath the villa
A holiday at Villa Cicchi is a real treat for the tastebuds "

Food lovers come from far and wide to taste Villa Cicchi's fabulous regional cuisine and the specialties typical of Ascoli Piceno. Most of the ingredients used in the restaurant kitchen are home-grown or purchased from the small farms in the vicinity.

The restaurant's seasonal tasting menu includes traditional cold cuts, local cheeses served with the farm's jams and chutneys, grilled vegetables, creamy soups, fresh pasta, organic beef from the Sibillini Mountains, Ascoli's famous fried olives and a delicious selection of homemade desserts.

Local labels dominate the restaurant's impressive wine list: Rosso Piceno, Rosso Piceno Superiore, Falerio, Offida Passerina, Pecorino. Not to be missed: the organic red wine produced with the grapes grown in Villa Cicchi's vineyard and a glass of Vino Cotto: a unique after dinner wine, bottled and left to rest for at least eight years in the villa's cellar before being tasted. It is a tradition in Marche that for every child born, a barrel should be filled with Vino Cotto: we have barrels that date back as far as 1845!

Meals are served in the small dining rooms or in the villa's frescoed hall which, in winter, is heated by two open fires. In the summer, guests can choose to eat lunch by the pool whilst, in the evenings, dinner is served al fresco, on the large terrace.

Certified organic farming Villa Cicchi

Organic farming

Almost everything you'll eat at Villa Cicchi will have been made from ingredients grown on the family's Conca d'Oro estate, located in the hills of Rosara, not far from the farm stay. On the estate, cultivated by the Cicchi family since 1917, there are olive groves, a vineyard, a fruit orchard and two hectares of vegetable gardens which, together, ensure the finest of natural, organic produce, season after season.

All the produce grown on the estate is certified by the Consortium for Organic Products of Bologna.
